Artist Statement  Watercolor is and has been my favorite medium. Even after many years of painting, it is still a joy for me to see the colors mingle freely when applied to paper or any suitable surface. I alternate between traditional and abstracted/non- objective work, which helps me not to get stagnant and lets me grow as an artist.

Biography  Heike lives and works in Huntsville, AL. She exhibits regularly at the Huntsville Art League located at Lowe Mill Studios Arts and Entertainment, and has exhibited in various venues in the Huntsville area over the past years.  She is a member of “The Committee”, a group of ten women artists who participate in group shows, share ideas and experiment in the art world.    Heike is a Signature Member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama.
